Childhood's End

Joyce and Nancy face a terrifying ordeal on their way to the farm after arriving in Helmstead. After Sgt Tucker saves them he takes them to the manor house. Bea flirts with everyone much to her sister's annoyance and she tries to stop her attending a dance at the manor house. Lord Hoxley catches Nancy taking a bath in his house. Bea finds herself attrached to Cal Gillespie. Nancy attempts to get closer to Lord Hoxley at the dance as the black soldiers are asked to leave. When Bea gets drunk Cal takes advantage of the situation.
